Experience the Magic of Meadow Lane
Imagine . . . a romantic getaway in a peaceful mountain setting, 2 1/2 private miles of Jackson River stocked with large rainbow trout, hiking through shady forests and meadows ablaze with wildflowers, the delight of a barnyard full of friendly animals . . . it’s all here at Meadow Lane.
Nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of western Virginia and minutes from The Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Meadow Lane sits on 1400 acres with exclusive trout water offering every level of fun & challenge for the beginner to expert fly-fisherman.
- The Lodge has 6 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. Each bedroom is unique and may have a fireplace, screened porch, a living room, a separate entrance or a large deck.
- Six fully-equipped, vacation rental cottages are scattered throughout the property with views towards the mountains, river, or open meadow. The centrally-located cottages near the pool, tennis court and barnyard are favorites of families with small children. Your kids can see the animals in the fields and visit the barn where they can feed apples to the horses, donkeys and goats.
- The Jackson River is renowned for providing some of the best trout fly fishing on the east coast. There are no rod fees for our guests to fish our private stretch of river. Another option is the Dinwiddie Spring Stream, offering the experienced fisherman ¼ mile of crystal-clear, spring-fed water stocked with brook trout. The Dinwiddie Spring Stream is available to Meadow Lane guests only. Please refer to our Fishing & Day Fishing page for fees and additional information.
- The 1860 House is an historic and romantic venue for parties, weddings, corporate retreats, and other special events. The natural beauty of the surrounding acreage allows for both indoor and outdoor events.
Owned by the Hirsh family for five generations, Meadow Lane is a three-hour drive from Richmond, Virginia, a 1 ½ hour drive from both Charlottesville and Roanoke, Virginia and 15 miles from the West Virginia line.
